Submissions accepted by the KLE Law Review-

Manuscripts on any topic of contemporary legal relevance as per the following criteria:

1. Short Articles: 1500+ words

2. Long Articles/ Research Papers: 2500+ words

3. Case notes: 1500+ words

4. Legislative Comments: 1000+ words

5. Book reviews: 1000+ words

The word limit is exclusive of the abstract and the footnotes.

General Submission Guidelines-

1. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must not be co-authored by more than two persons. 

2. Authors are permitted to send only one submission per author or a team of co-authors.

3. Authors shall be informed of the status of their manuscripts after every stage of review.    No requests for expedited review shall be entertained.

4. Manuscripts not in conformity with these guidelines may be rejected at the sole discretion of the Editorial Board.

5. The Editorial Board reserves the right to send the manuscripts back to the authors for any modification(s) at any stage, in the event of non-conformity with any of the submission guidelines.

6. The submissions would go through AI and Plagiarism detection as initial checks. Only the ones falling within 10% Plagiarism and 20% AI shall be taken into consideration.

Citation Standards-

1. Citations must strictly conform to the standards laid down in the Harvard Bluebook 21st Edition.

2. Submissions must use only footnotes as a form of citation.

3. Speaking/substantive footnotes are highly discouraged.

4. SCC citations for cases must be preferred wherever available.

Point 1 (Times New Roman, 14, 1.5 line spacing, Bold, All Caps)

1. Abstract (Times New Roman, 12, 1.15 line spacing, Italics, Justified, 2 cm indent on both sides)

2. Heading Level 1 (Times New Roman, 14, 1.5 line spacing, Bold) (Numbering should be: I, II, III, …)

3. Heading Level 2 (Times New Roman, 12, 1.5 line spacing) (Numbering should be: A, B, C, …)

4. Heading Level 3 (Times New Roman, 12, 1.5 line spacing) (Numbering should be: i., ii., iii, …)

5. Main Body (Times New Roman, 12, 1.15 line spacing, Justified, 1 inch margins on all sides)

6. Footnotes (Times New Roman, 10, 1.0 line spacing, Justified)
